Automation of shooting a physical stationary object

The photo-shooting system for the electronic museum's  materials was automated by Moskalyuk Taras - a student of the Computer Science and Technology Faculty, under the my guidance. Automation is performed using the Lego NXT technology, which significantly approximates the end of work and improves the quality of the footage. The new shooting technology allows to expand the possibilities of creating three-dimensional images, up to 180 images per model, without complicating the process of shooting and processing raw materials. The thermostat in the boiler room

The complex performs automatic control of the boiler houses network  with the ability to monitor and adjust the algorithm through the global network. Consists from hardware and software parts. Includes a thermostat in the boiler room and a manager. Thermostat in the boiler room Hardware: The controller is a PC / 104 processor board (2xRS232, LPT, IDE, Ethernet, VGA, keyboard, mouse). ROM - IDE M-Systems 256 Mb flash disk. Sensors - case external temperature sensor (-40:+30°С); contact feed sensor (-5:+100°С), contact sensor of return water (-5:+100°С); Cabinet temperature sensor in the room (-5:+10°C). All sensors are built on thermistors. Analog input - self-made device (4 analog inputs 8kHz -> RS232, galvanic isolation). Discrete output - self-made device (Parallel port -> 8 relays); Power supply, housing, a set of connecting wires. Optionally - a CDMA modem with a directional antenna, a radio modem, a GSM modem, a wired telephone modem. Software : Windows NT 4.0

Golf Robot

My wife Victoria with my support created a robot based on the LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0. The robot was presented at the exhibition-exhibition "Physical Modeling and Robotics". An alternative goal is to show students the ease of creating robots based on the LEGO Mindstorms constructor. Tasks of the robot: 1. Drive to the ball (the ultrasonic sensor determines the distance). 2. Analyze the color of the ball with a color sensor and hit the ball in case the color of the ball is in the specified range. 3. Drive off and turn 90 degrees.
